The AI Opportunities Action Plan is a strategic initiative by the UK government to harness the potential of artificial intelligence (AI) for economic growth and public service enhancement. Commissioned by the Secretary of State for Science, Innovation and Technology, Peter Kyle, in July 2024, the plan is led by Matt Clifford, and was published on the 13th of January, 2025.

UKAI has created a Scorecard which it uses to evaluate government policy against the 5 areas that we believe will be most beneficial to the growth of the UK’s AI Sector. Find out more about the scorecard here. We use this Scorecard to evaluate the Action Plan in this feedback form.
