Women remain underrepresented in leadership across tech and AI. This exclusive panel explores the journeys of pioneers who have navigated male-dominated industries, sharing insights on fostering the next generation of female leaders.

The panel will discuss Edwina and Martha’s book, When She’s in the Room, exploring the key themes of leadership, collaboration, and driving change as women in male-dominated industries. This will involve a discussion on the experiences of Baroness Martha Lane Fox and Edwina Dunn, their leadership in tech, and their commitment to empowering women.

This panel will also explore the future of technology and AI, specifically:
  • ✅ Gendered Intelligence in AI – Who is shaping AI’s foundations, and what biases exist?
  • ✅ Generative AI & Opportunities – What new pathways could AI create for women?
  • ✅ AI & Accountability – How can women seek redress for adverse consequences of AI?
  • ✅ Women in AI Leadership – Governance, ethics, and regulation in the AI era.

This event is jointly organised by UKAI, Curia and the Health, Care, and Life Sciences Research Group.
