UKAI is the UK’s only trade association for AI, uniting a diverse and fast-growing membership committed to shaping how AI is adopted, deployed, and governed across the economy. This role manages the full sales cycle across membership, training, and sponsorship, driving UKAI’s commercial growth and engagement strategy. You will work directly with senior stakeholders, helping organisations connect, collaborate, and lead within the UK’s rapidly evolving AI landscape.

As Founder's Associate, you’ll work directly with the CEO on high-impact projects that drive UKAI’s growth and influence. This is a unique opportunity to gain unparalleled exposure to the inner workings of a fast-scaling membership organisation at the heart of one of the UK’s most dynamic industries.

You’ll be involved in everything from strategic planning and policy engagement to member relations, events, partnerships, and operations. This role is ideal for someone highly entrepreneurial, adaptable, and motivated to make a tangible difference in shaping the UK’s AI future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Support: Work closely with the CEO to manage priorities, research emerging opportunities, and support high-level strategic initiatives.

  • Operations & Delivery: Help coordinate projects across membership, communications, events, and partnerships working closely to support the broader team.

  • Website Management: Plan, manage and update the website and CMS. Support the business development, membership, partnerships and finance team to ensure the website is kept up-to-date.

  • Member Engagement: Support onboarding, and relationship management with UKAI’s members. 

  • Event Support: Assist with the management of events, supporting the events team.

  • Marketing Support: Draft sales collateral, newsletters and presentations. Create basic graphics and simple video edits. Leverage GenAI tools as required. 

  • Research Special Projects: Conduct research into new projects to support business growth. Take ownership of strategic projects from partnerships to operational improvements.

  • Digitally fluent: Comfortable using, setting up and managing AI-powered tools: Website CMS, digital design tools, CRM, and communication tools.

  • Collaborative: A natural relationship builder who can work effectively across small, agile teams.

  • Mission-driven: Passionate about technology, innovation, and ensuring AI benefits the economy and society.

Experience

  • 1–3 years’ experience in a fast-paced environment such as a startup or fast-growth business.

  • Experience working with or around technology and innovation is a strong advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.

  • Experience engaging with senior executives, investors, or policymakers is desirable.
