Code of Conduct

As a member of UKAI, you are part of a community built on respect, professionalism, and shared purpose. This Code of Conduct sets out the expectations for all members, and their guests, at events, in discussions, and across all communications.

1. Respect and Inclusivity

  • Treat all members, speakers, guests, and staff with respect and courtesy.

  • We welcome diverse perspectives. Discrimination, harassment, or intimidation of any kind will not be tolerated.

  • Listen actively and engage constructively in conversations.

2. Professional Behaviour

  • Act with integrity and professionalism in all interactions, whether online or in person.

  • Do not promote services or products aggressively or disruptively during events.

  • Respect the confidentiality of any sensitive information shared within the community.

3. Use of UKAI Name and Representation

  • Members must not use the UKAI name, logo, or represent themselves as speaking on behalf of UKAI without prior written permission.

  • Any public association with UKAI must reflect positively on the organisation and not bring the brand into disrepute.

4. Engagement and Communication

  • Members are expected to be responsive to reasonable communications from UKAI.

  • Active engagement with requests or opportunities from UKAI supports a collaborative and professional membership experience.

5. Safe and Welcoming Events

  • Ensure all physical and virtual events are safe spaces for participation.

  • Follow any guidance or instructions provided by event organisers.

  • Report any concerns to staff or organisers promptly.

6. Responsible Use of Communication Channels

  • Use forums, mailing lists, and social platforms to contribute positively.

  • Avoid spam, offensive language, or personal attacks.

  • Debate ideas, not individuals.

7. Accountability

  • Breaches of this Code of Conduct may result in a warning, suspension, or termination of membership.

  • UKAI reserves the right to take appropriate action to uphold these standards and protect the community.
